University of Iowa Powwow
American Indian Arts and Crafts Festival

The annual UI Powwow is one of the largest student events of the year, drawing over 7,000 people to Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Powwows offer a chance for American Indian peoples and others to get together and share dancing and music. The UI Powwow also features Native American arts and crafts, and American Indian food.

Throughout the Powwow weekend, demonstrations introduce newcomers to various dance and music styles. For more information, visit the web site at, www.uiowa.edu/~aisa/ or e-mail aisa@blue.weeg.uiowa.edu.
